The practice of medicine should be controlled by practicing physicians, not administrators or MDs not seeing patients anymore, Dr. J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13161766198676450719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5121723593802011786.post-74861047699610967712018-03-28T19:08:53.512-04:002018-03-28T19:08:53.512-04:00Administration gets secretarial work for free from...Administration gets secretarial work for free from doctors and nurses because they know we are dedicated and will not skimp on patient care after they lay off the secretaries and transcriptionists. We will just stay later and complete the same work and take longer to do it. Admin doesn’t see it as inefficient use of our time because we wouldn’t necessarily be seeing more patients during those extra hours of work. They just see the savings from not paying the laid off people anymore. They either don’t see or don’t care that the extra time away from our lives and families is killing us. They don’t see or don’t care that it is burning us out. They don’t realize or don’t care that our career taking care of patients will be shorter because we just can’t take it anymore.
